Beyond the Spiderwick Chronicles, stars a boy named Nicholas. When his dad marries a new woman, Nicholas finds himself with a new stepsister, who believes in magic. She carries around big thick books, filled  with info on magical creatures that live in the woodland. Nicholas doesn't want anything to do with her, her nose always in the faerie books, wispy blond hair framing her small face. But then when they find a a distressed woodland creature, they must join forces to help save the forest.

The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan

In the third and second to last installment of Rick Riordan's series, the Heroes of Olympus, it still has the same magic that readers will love. It ends cliffhangingly at, well I can't tell you. It adds Leo, Jason, Piper, Annabeth, Percy, Frank, and Hazel, in the giant monster ship, called the Argo. So many demigods, of different families, there will be fights and laughs, but in the end, things will always turn out well.

Robot Dreams is a children's book about a dog and a robot. It starts where the dog wants a friend, so he goes and buys a robot kit. The dog puts the robot together and they become the best of friends. One day, the go to the beach and play in the water, and generally have a joyful time. After coming out of the water and having a quick snooze, the dog decides to go home. Waking up the robot they find that the robot cannot move. Having no choice, the dog decides to go home. After this he is not happy any more. He tries to find new friends, but all the ones he finds have faults and does not work for him. Meanwhile, the robot is left in the each daydreaming. With the beautiful illustrations, and amazing story line, this book is good for all ages
